Book Review: Sarah's Garden

I recently signed up with BookSneeze to read and review books and the first book that I chose was Sarah's Garden by Kelly Long. This book is about Sarah King who is an unwed Amish woman longing to find a man that the Lord has sent for her. She finds forbidden love in the new English veterinarian Grant Williams on her first day running the family's roadside stand. Sarah has spent most of her days growing up and tending to her gardens and now must tend to her own personal garden of life.

I enjoyed getting wrapped up in the forbidden love and learning the Amish ways of religion, sacrifice and faith in the Lord. It was a quick read as I couldn't put the book down for long and read it anytime I had a few spare minutes. As true with most romance novels it was pretty predictable and wouldn't have been complete without having trials and tribulation along the way. I recommend this book for a summer afternoon for the fiction romance book lovers and I am looking forward to the second in this series due out in 2011.

I received a copy of this book from Thomas Nelson Publishers as a part of their Book Sneeze program. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
