Friday Fragments #201

I'm sure you've seen your fair share of these funny yourecards on Facebook or other social media sites. I was browsing on the internet and couldn't resist posting this one. I have this fetich with grammar and spelling, so it only makes sense. And since most of the cards are quite vulgar, I wouldn't post many of them anyways.

Today( Thursday) at Miss K's school, the awards ceremony for the third graders was held. This year has been an amazing school year for her, starting with her most wonderful teacher. Without this teacher, Miss K may have struggled yet another year academically. She excelled in many areas, academically and socially. In the second quarter of this school year, K received the Citizenship Award for the first time since entering elementary school. Today, she received the Citizenship of the Year award in her class. It was a proud moment for the hubs and I.

I was reading in a moms group for parents of children born in November 2012 today. The topic they were discussing was "have you bought anything yet for your upcoming new baby. I have not, am I behind?" I have actually bought a few things for baby #3 only because the items were in excellent used condition and I couldn't pass up the deal. Except for the stroller system, which was new. But it was also a great deal that may not be when we get closer. When I think back to both my other children, I don't remember being as eager to buy things so far in advance. Except for Miss K, we did buy packs of diapers every other week before she was born.

For the summer our church will not be having any enrichment classes or children's ministry on Wednesday nights. I'm sad that we won't be meeting during the summer. I am looking forward to more time with the kids, especially since Miss K does not have dance classes in the summer either. Time to catch up on reading for all of us. I'm looking forward to teaching Little E to read more than just sight words. One of the websites we'll be using is www.Starfall.com . Miss K's elementary school uses this website in the classrooms during free time.

After three days of rain, rain, rain. It has finally subsided. Even though Friday has a 70% chance of rain, it has not rained very much. I'm thankful for all this rain we have been getting but wiping the dogs' feet every time after they go outside has become a tiring task. My plants and lawn are very happy with all this excess water.

Today was the last day of school for our county! I went in to help with a party that Miss K's teacher and I planned for the last day. Unfortunately her teacher was diagnosed with the flu on Tuesday and was told by her doctor to not be at work the rest of the week. The last week of school no less. :(  thankfully by today, she was feeling a little better and made a surprise appearance in class for 30 minutes, during the party. We're going to miss not having her as Miss K's teacher. She was such a blessing. If only we had her every year!

Friday Fragments Episode #197

Mommy's Idea

**My month of April sucked. There is no sugar coating it. I was glad to see that the month of May had arrived. I was thinking like a clean slate and everything could resume "normal", or whatever the new normal could be. May 1st was good and has been good so far. Except for my allergies giving me trouble-again.

**Logging into Pinterest using Facebook should be a no no for me. I wasn't thinking when I logged into it on Wednesday that whatever I was pinning was showing up on Facebook boards. I haven't spilled the beans on Facebook to friends I don't talk to regularly, about the baby. I was waiting until next week after my 13 week ultrasound. I had no clue until I got to Miss K's school Thursday morning that several people saw what I was pinning. Whoops!

**I know that we're a LONG way off from knowing the sex of the baby, let alone needing a name for it. But I have been on the hunt for a few weeks. The hubs is soooooo picky. We agreed on a girl name, but he has not been in agreement on any boy name. The other problem. We know so many people now that we're on baby #3 and most of them have at least two children, so a lot of boy names are taken.

** This week, I'm 12 weeks along and the baby is the size of a lime. Not bad considering we have 28 weeks to go. I can't wait until I can feel my little lime moving around. That has to be hands down, one of my favorite parts of being pregnant.

** I mentally decided what would be my favorite Mother's Day gift from my husband. I would like him to take the day off, and do everything I do the whole day. From making lunches, dressing kids, dropping kids off at school, picking up kids, lunch in between pickups for himself, homework, and dance class. While I get to sit and enjoy myself. :) Ah, one can dream, right?

**I uploaded my very own first pin last night! Miss K's school has been celebrating Teacher Appreciation Day all week and yesterday we presented her teacher with this homemade gift. I brainstormed from Pinterest and this is what I made! (except for the rubberbands) I'm so excited about this craft, after the response I have received from it. It really is flattering when other people like your work and want to copy it.

Friday Fragments: Episode #183

Mommy's Idea

My husband decided to have dinner out on Tuesday night after Miss K's dance class. She gets finished by 6:45-7:00pm so it's a common thing for us to go out. But this week was the Schwan's Tuesday and since this weekend is Superbowl weekend I needed snacks for the party. For the life of me I could not remember the delivery man's name. I had the hubs leave him at note.. addressed..Dear Schwans' man. Yeah, that's pretty sad.
*******

I punished the kids this week with taking away the privilege of riding in daddy's Element when they wouldn't obey and were being disrespectful to me. It was a long ride home for me having to listen to Little E saying  "we're never getting to ride in daddy's car again" over and over and over again, in between sobs. It was more of a punishment for me than them!
*******
I walked into the restroom at work on Wednesday to wash m my hands real quick, knowing that Little E was in there. I figured he was probably sitting on the toilet reading a magazine. To my surprise, he was standing in the sink trying to get a paper towel. Of course the first one he yanked off, tore and it was not good enough anymore. Again, he is becoming more OCD daily.
*******

I was so glad to see that Grey's Anatomy was new this week. It was quite a different episode than normal and my husband said he just couldn't get into it.
*******

I'm planning a Super Bowl party for this weekend. I've bought most of the food and we've invited a few people but some can't come. So I hope I don't have too much food. I've got wings, twice baked potatoes, cheese sticks, dip and chips, mini pizza puffs. I haven't had a party since Miss K's birthday and I'm actually excited about entertaining.
 *******

I try really hard each week to keep up with my weekly devotions for church. This week I've actually made the time to read the booklet and keep up with the Bible passages. I want to share a few sentences that really struck a cord with me in my devotional book.

Christianity is not just about getting forgiven and going to Heaven when we die.To give God nothing when he has given us so much would be to sin against his love; it would be to turn God into our servant and salvation into an insurance policy.
 It makes you really think.

Friday Fragments: Episode #182

Mommy's Idea
I really wanted to write a full, real post this week. One that didn't require a prompt or meme link up. I failed. I just had no energy left this week. Playing catch up after being gone last weekend is exhausting.

My husband celebrated his 35th Birthday on Thursday. The kids and I bought him a cake and the kids insisted I buy candles for it. We got those "magic" ones. I thought I only bought one package with 8 and when it came time to put them on, I realized both packages had them. We had 20 relight candles on the cake. Do you have any idea how hard it is to light 35 candles??

I am hoping to plan a Super Bowl party this year! My husband's team is playing. Go Patriots!! The last time they were there, Little E was just an infant and it wasn't possible. I'm on the hunt for recipes and ideas.

I discovered while on the social security website today, that when applying for a US Passport, if your birth certificate was applied for a year after your birth, you need extra required documentation.* my husband is going on a Mission Trip to Haiti this year and needs a passport*

I realized recently that Little E is OCD like me. I'm not sure if it's because I have spent more time with him being a part time SAHM with him and not Miss K. Or it's genetic. It's a little annoying, because things have to be a certain way with him, but he's not always capable of making those things that way. Leaving me to take care of what he wants.

Have you ever tried Greenwise (non hormone, free range) meat? Like beef? I bought a steak that was like that for dinner for my husband and wow! There is a significant difference in texture and taste. I recently started buying cage free, hormone free brown eggs and they are by far much better. The prepared egg has much more flavor, better color when scrambled and the shell peels much easier than the traditional store brand large white eggs. They even beat out Eggland's best brand.

What is it with tv shows this week? After no new episodes during the holidays and the we finally got like three weeks of new ones to get re runs this week! I want to file a complaint! lol.

Friday Fragments #181 and Five Question Friday:

Mommy's Idea

After last weeks fragment post about my laundry, I used the tip from Ann in the Up about throwing in two loads of laundry a day every morning. Now I didn't get the loads in every morning, but I did three on Monday, one on Tuesday, two on Wednesday (thanks to a doggie having a potty accident) and one on Thursday. The laundry mountain never appeared. It was much easier doing one at a time.

I don't know if I ever mentioned getting a dog back in October that started out as a foster. We fell in love the first day and adopted her. I felt bad for closing the door on fostering dogs for the rescue group so I told them I would open my door to another dog. Well we got another foster last Saturday and boy, having three dogs is a lot of work. Especially this one that came to us. The poor thing has been in several foster homes and needs to relearn basic doggy manners. In a weeks time he has done quite well. I'm impressed. The person that ends up adopting him will get a well mannered, sweet tempered dog.

The one day that I didn't walk Miss K to class (I have walked her every day this year), I miss out on finding out that there is an awards ceremony for 3rd grade. Sitting at work, I get a text. K received the citizenship award. I couldn't believe it! I missed seeing her get this award!! I was SO bummed. My husband and I were so proud of her that we took her out for dinner, her choice.
This was the first time she received this award since starting Kindergarten.

I have another busy weekend ahead of me. My grandmother was in the hospital for four weeks and last weekend went to a rehab center. She should be there two weeks and then re evaluation to see if she is capable to go home. ( she has been bed ridden for two years) I am going into visit her on Saturday and Sunday. I haven't seen her in three weeks. Again, another reason the laundry work has been a blessing in disguise.

I really dislike Florida weather. It's really stinks when it can't decide whether it wants to be cold or warm. We went from low 40's at night, last weekend to high 70's Tuesday through Thursday. Then a front pushed through, brought sprinkly rain and now today dropped back to the 50's in the afternoon. It has created a head cold for me. Hot throat, runny nose, sinus pressure..... ugh.

I usually don't combine memes, but this Friday I'm going for it. It's easier this way since I have a full plate this weekend. Heaven help me.

1. Where do you hide the reeeally good snacks?  Well if I told you, then you might come over and eat them. Then when I go looking for them, they'll be gone. Just kidding. Really good snacks would be home made cookies or chocolate covered ice creams bars. All of which are in the deep freezer in the garage, where the kids never venture to unless given permission. Because once, the freezer was left open and you can figure out the rest.

2. Do u keep your vehicle clean or am I the only one who has things falling out of their van?  I try VERY, VERY hard to keep my van clean. I regularly have it washed and I don't like clutter left in it. No toys, books, food wrappers, left over food (that will never and has never happened) or what such will be allowed to take up residency in my vehicle. I carry a small dust pan and broom and a micro fiber towel to wipe things down. Yes, I am THAT anal.

3. Have you ever been to Vegas? Nope. Can't say that I have.

4. Warm room light blankets or cold room warm snuggly blanket? Cold room with snuggly blanket. I would get a nose bleed in a warm room. I prefer to not run the heat (this is Florida, mind you) unless it drops to the 30's or below outside. So prepare to wear socks, long sleeves and snuggle into a warm, fuzzy blanket at my place.

5. What is the worst airplane/flying experience you've ever had? When Miss K was 14 months old (2004) and I flew home from Colorado after visiting my cousin who had just had her second child. I bought one ticket and had her ride in my lap. Going there was not bad because the plane was half full and she rode in an empty seat next to me. Coming back, it was a full plane, the afternoon (she missed her nap) and she was bouncing off the walls. It didn't help that we almost missed the plane, they had to hook up the gangplank (or whatever that is) so we could board. I'm sure the people on the plane were thinking oh great, a woman with a child held us up. Just great. K was not content to sit in my lap and watch tv, she was wiggling and crying. The guy next to me went to the bathroom a gazillion times and then he stopped coming back until we were descending. I felt horrible and apologized several times. I never have done that again. I will never try and be frugal and pay the consequences.

Friday Fragments #180

Mommy's Idea

I'm Friday Fragging again this week! I've been trying to get back to regular blogging and sometimes I just don't have enough to post or I ramble on and maybe my posts are borrrinng. I kid you not, sometimes I need to try and cut down. I've got to stop getting off track. It happens so easily. Which reminds me of a post my friend Adrienne at Stories from the ShoeBox wrote about with adult ADD.

I finally put on my "big girl" pants and removed some "friends", or used to be friends from my personal Facebook page. I was tired of toxic people that I've talked about more than once. They seemed to be stirring up more drama and I am more grown up than that.

What do you do when your garbage company doesn't pick up the trash? Thanks to some monetary changes, the county changed who picks up our trash. And for two weeks now they haven't come when they should.

A few weeks ago a customer gave me a recipe for Bacon Cheeseburger Pie. I finally made it this week and wow, was it good! It tasted more like a cheesey manwich (sloppey joe) pie, but it was a hit with my husband and Miss K. Little E wanted nothing to do with it.

I lost a few pounds this week. Finally!! I've been struggling with ten pounds that came back after quitting the gym last year. Honestly I really wasn't losing much weight going to the gym and eating better.I blame it on being over 30. My SIL nicely told me once, "you"re no spring chicken anymore". Thanks alot.

I'm on a laundry strike this week. I have actually not washed a load all week. I had the kids bring their dirty clothes into the laundry room last night and just stared at them. Not really. I had good intentions of starting washing but I was exhausted from a full week back to work, taking kids to school/dance classes, midweek church, I couldn't face it. How often do you do laundry?

Friday Fragments Episode #165

Here's to another wonderful week in the record books and successfully
making it through it.

Mommy's Idea

PhotobucketI was so excited to finally witness an adult Monarch butterfly land on my milkweed plants and lay their eggs. My friend gave me a juvenile plant last year and we planted it and crossed our fingers that we would get butterflies. Our plant matured and released seeds and we grew more milkweed, but no butterflies came. Now multiple plants were blessed with eggs that have now hatched into teeny, tiny caterpillars.

Photobucket These last few weeks of preschool for Little E have really opened the flood gates on absorbing so much information. He tells me something new everyday. He told me that he wants to do everything in the world when he grows up. Starting with scuba diving, followed by riding a motorcycle and building something. I remember when Miss K was that age and she wanted to be a nurse. He has not narrowed anything as of yet.

Photobucket Miss K has been dancing again this year, the classes started a week before school started. She was asked to join the studio's competition group this year and she accepted the class that goes along with it. It's been tough for me with driving both kids to separate schools, work and dance classes 25 minutes from home. We were driving three times a week, and the dance instructor/owner finally agreed to let Miss K try a little more advanced tap class. This would put us to 2 days a week at the studio. Miss K nailed it! She did so beautifully, as if I had any doubt.

Photobucket

This weekend, the family an I are heading to the Ocala National Forest to browse and scope out our campsite for our annual family camping trip in November. We usually go camping with my husband's mother and stepdad during their annual hunt for deer, but they are not joining us this year. So we decided to pick a new site. Wish me luck!!

Photobucket

While trying to put Little E in some jeans this week to go to midweek church, I discovered he had outgrown ALL his pants. I figured that they were pretty long from last season and he grew some.... but none fit. You realize how much your child has grown when you buy school clothes or it's winter time.

Photobucket

I joined a n introduction class to Life Groups (small groups) at my church. This upcoming Wednesday class is the last one. After that they will figure out which group to have my family join, based on child ages, days we have during the week to attend and other factors. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time. There are a few groups that are full that I really want to be a part of and I'm not sure how they figure it out, but praying to God that he puts us in the best place.

Friday Fragments #153

Mommy's Idea

This last week was one of those weeks that I'm glad is over. It was mentally stressful for me and I was carrying around some issues that I finally got off my chest on my PYHO post over at Shell's Thing's I Can't Say. After writing that post and talking to my husband about it, I can breathe a sigh of relief that he understands where I'm coming from.

I decided that my posts need to be a little more light hearted and not so deep all the time. I don't want to depress all of you and have you thinking my life is all sadness and tears. I need to get back on track and start writing more fiction over at the RDC.

My little E's birthday is next Thursday and we're celebrating it on Sunday the 17th. I ordered his invites the last week of June, they still have not arrived. I broke down in desperation and planned the event invites on Facebook. Something I completely and utterly detest.

I've found my new favorite song of the week. Here's the video. I can't get it out of my head. I love the beat and the music. I haven't had a chance to listen to it in my husband's car (his stereo is outta this world) but I'm sure it beats listening to it on my iPhone.

I made a trip to Walmart last night to grab some last minute items to avoid taking 4 kids shopping. As I was passing the stationery section I stopped dead in my tracks. Can you believe they already have school supply lists out already??! There are still six weeks left of summer!

To answer any questions to why I have four kids now. No, I didn't magically have two babies in the past week to give me four kids. (although I am still trying to convince the hubs that one more kid would be great.) I am babysitting my 3 year old nephew and 6 year old niece for 3.5 days this weekend. My husband's stepsister and her husband are taking a cruise, their first vacation together without kids, and I offered to watch them.

Friday Fragments #121

Mommy's Idea

It's so good to have something to write about
something to say. I have missed my time to sit
and blog and let it all go.

My husband must have gotten sick from our camping trip because he has been ill since Monday and it seems flu like. I'm not a fan of him getting sick because men are downright big babies when they get sick. BUT I have actually been very gracious and tending to his needs in hopes that he'll feel better for the weekend.

Tonight my little guy was asking about daddy being sick and why was he sick. I tried to explain that daddy had a germ inside of him that was making him feel bad. Little E says " is it in his mouth mommy? You know mommy, daddy's cold is dangerous." Dangerous? That was just too funny!

I let the kids stay up a half hour longer tonight to watch the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Special and I said to Miss K, "oh yeah, you're watching Peanuts." She looks at me and says "no, it's not". My bad! I know them as the Peanuts gang! Kids these days.

I am so proud of our new puppy. It took me one day to teach her to sit, one day to teach her to lay down and she has learned her name in three days. So far so good. We have had about four potty accidents and I forgot how much poop a big dogs does. It's been awhile since I've had a large breed dog.

I've been so busy with the camping trip and our upcoming trip to Colorado in 16 days that I haven't been thinking much about Christmas itself. I have so many things to plan out. Christmas cards? Christmas photos, which I will need before the cards. Shopping.....putting up the tree. I am not looking forward to the tree,a new cat and a puppy should put a few more gray hairs on my head.

I was sad to discover that my local Polish delicatessen closed it's doors due to the downturn in the economy. And the local Hallmark card and gift store is closing two days after Thanksgiving. The small businesses are having a hard time hanging on, when will this end?

Hope y'all have a great Friday!!
Great weekend!

Friday Fragments #119

I really like Friday Fragments
they remind of how my mind is always thinking.
I might start on one thought which leads to another
then another and another and before I know it
I forgot what thought I started with.

Mommy's Idea

* This week has flown by already and tomorrow is my baby brother's birthday. I was going to buy him a card and a gift card and mail it. He always gets me a gift card. But since Wal mart didn't have a great selection of Brother cards I went to Target. Browsing the isles I found the perfect gift, a set of four Simpson's drinking glasses. He LOVES the Simpson's and I couldn't resist. Now I have to carefully wrap each glass in paper and pack them in a box with shipping popcorn to ship to Pensacola. I wonder how much the shipping will cost me. I should have stuck to the gift card, but I like more personal gifts. They get remembered.

* I got the call yesterday that the puppy we had a 2nd hold on at the Humane Society went home with the family who had a 1st hold. I got the butterflies in my stomach when I saw who was calling, hoping that they were saying we could come get her. Sadness hit me instead.

* I wasn't going to go look at any more dogs at the shelter. Who was I fooling? I drove there again this afternoon with the kids. They had a few puppies and we took out a female Catahoula Leopard Hound Mix puppy to play with. I guess the first puppy was not meant to be because this dog is far better! We are 1st hold and we are taking Bella and Ryelee ( my other dogs) to be introduced to her tomorrow. I took a few pictures of her on my cell phone but I'm having problems getting the phone to email them to the computer.

* I can't believe how cold the weather is already getting. A cold front is moving through and has been all day with rain and wind most of the afternoon. I stepped outside a few minutes ago and the temperature has dropped several degrees. I have been waiting for cold weather since it turned October and it never happened. Time to pullout the sweatshirts!

* Shoe shopping is no fun! I used to like to shop for shoes but I have to take a 3yr old and find him more shoes. Little E has wide feet and I've been lucky to find Skecher's skateboard style shoes that fit. But he has outgrown them and now we're down to 2 shoes besides flip flops that he can wear.

*I'm going to the doctor tomorrow for a regular checkup on how I'm doing on my medication. I have to tell the doctor that we need to change one of my prescriptions. One of the side effects is excessive sweating and I've got it. I take this pill in the am and within an hour of taking it I am sweating like a pig. It's horrible. Hopefully he can recommend another pill and it works just as well.

*I'm on the lookout for a sewing machine. I borrowed a Sewing Genie from my mother in law and what a joke that was! I tried to replace the bottom bobbin and trying to do that create havoc. The machine would not sew. I tried multiple times, my husband tried multiple times and then he broke the needle and then it jammed. And the directions were very vague. No help from google either.

* 30 days until we leave for Colorado!! The count down begins.

* I'm meeting with a pet sitter tomorrow to take care of the animals while we go camping. This will be the first time I have left the dogs at home while I go away. I usually kennel them but with the cats, the bird and the fish this is the best route. She charges per trip, not per pets so it's very reasonable.

Friday Fragments #113

It's been awhile since I played along with Friday Fragments
and I've missed it.
Fragments are how my mind usually thinks. Snippets
here and there and all over everywhere.
Mommy's Idea

If you live in Florida or have ever visited this lovely state
during love bug season you know exactly how I feel.
It's "that" time of year and they are breeding hence the name
LOVE BUG.
I washed my van yesterday and removed all their dead bodies
from it and if you looked at it today you
would never know it. And if you don't remove them from the paint
the acid eats the paint. It's just lovely.

Love Bugs Pictures, Images and Photos

I am going out of town with my husband for two days. We are
heading to St. Petersburg to watch the Tampa Bay Rays play and then we
will be watching a concert on the field following the game.
We'll be staying at a hotel near the stadium and on Sunday morning
following breakfast we'll head to Tarpon Springs.
At the fishing docks there they have the greatest Greek town
and amazing greek restaurants.
I can't wait!!

I bought a new pair of sunglasses today. I actually spent $19.99
on this pair. I usually try to not spend so much because
I break them or lose them. But they looked so good on
I couldn't resist.

Don't pay attention to the fact that I modeled these for this
photo just now and have no make up on.
Sad.
And this was funny when I went to edit this
picture, I realized that my smile is just like my younger
brother's. hehe. We have the same smile.
I miss him. It so sad that he lives 7.5 hours away.

This is another hilarious thing. Last night after Miss K took
her dance outfit off, tights and leotard Little E grabbed her tights.
He's been a real nut lately and he shoved them on his head and
said he was a monster.
Not really scary, but pretty darn funny!!
Wait until he's 18 and is going to college
he's going to love it when I pull out
his scrapbook and show his friends!!

It's already the end of September and I feel like
I'm slacking on the Halloween costume department. I am
usually on my A game and have the ideas picked out.
This year I'm debating on making homemade ones
or buying store ones. I detest buying the ones at Wal-Mart or Target.
I prefer getting them at the costume store if I HAVE TO.
But I really like making them.
But I may be out of time.

Friday Fragments:FF

Mommy's Idea

Little E bit a hole on either side of his tongue while throwing a tantrum about his dinner on Wednesday evening. Jumping up and down on his step stool at the kitchen counter it flipped and his chin smacked the counter and his teeth chomped his tongue. I wasn't sure what was hurt but there was lots of tears and plenty of blood. After calming him down I looked in his mouth and found two holes on both sides of his tongue where his teeth pierced through. Hopefully next time he disagrees with my choice in his dinner he won't pitch a fit!

I finally have figured out the perfect time to get to the school and get in line at Parent Pick Up. It's crazy but I have to arrive at the school by 1:40pm even though the school bell rings at 2:05pm to release the kids. I hope that after a few weeks it will calm down and I can not stress out about it.

I miss summer vacation so much! This first week back has been a major adjustment for me. I am so tired and adjusting to this busy schedule is wearing me out! I was so tired today that when I went to clean the windows on my van I thought I grabbed the aerosol window spray. I sprayed the windshield and couldn't understand why it was so greasy and I kept rubbing and rubbing the paper towel. I looked at the can and noticed I grabbed the tire foam! ACK! I am so tired I can't even grab the right can!

I thought that my little boy was so sweet and tender. But the main word in that is BOY. He is ALL boy. Rough and tumble, dirt and mud, and crazy and loud! Yikes! He has hit his head more in one week of having a bunk bed than he has in his three years of his life!

The other mom's at my daughter's dance class can be so catty. I am trying not to stick my nose into their business and get involved with any of them. They are so rude and don't even realize or maybe care that I am sitting in a chair trying to watch my kid dance too! I guess next week I may have to get out the BIG guns and drag my chair up to the window and block them. Maybe I should let Little E bring his drum set and bang on it. It might drive them out the door.

I love watching Teen Mom on MTV. I am guilty of enjoying watching those young moms try to make it with or without a man to help them. This week's episode definitely confirmed their maturity for me. I think the only one I have a heart for is Maci. She seems to have her head on straight and has really grown up in the year after giving birth to her son Bentley.

Read an article on FB today from Seventh Generation company about BPA in receipts. Can you believe that BPA is in the paper and ink that is used? It's crazy! I have tried to be more health conscious but where do you draw the line?

I can't wait until it cools off some around here. I need to have a yard sale but it's so hot I couldn't face sitting in the heat to sell my stuff for small cash. My husband has suggested renting a storage unit until we can find the time to organize the yard sale. I am not looking forward to it.

Miss K seems to not be enjoying going back to school. I told her tomorrow was the last day and she thought that I meant the last day for the year. I explained to her that it was the last day for the week. Did she really think it was one week of school and then one off? I think she is jealous that Little E stays home with me.

I hate summer colds. This is my first one in years and it's knocking me down. It makes it worse that I'm already exhausted from getting up by 6:00am every day. I am looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday.

I still need to send out thank you's for Little E's birthday party that I had July 19th and now Miss K's from the 8th. I am so bad. I need to enlist the kids in getting this done with me. It might actually motivate me to finish it.

Looking forward to Sunday! We're taking the kids to Blue Springs to cool off in the 72 degree water for the afternoon.

Friday: Follow me here, there..

What a great way to end a week! With new friends, old friends and a little bit of Friday Follow, some Friday Fragments and New Friend Friday.
I love this Friday Fragments hosted by Half Past Kissin Time

Mommy's Idea
I assume that when I'm blow drying my hair, flat ironing it and getting myself ready to leave in the morning that the kids will be okay. Normally everything is good. Little E is watching television and Miss K is making her bed and playing with the dogs. But yesterday turned into a catastrophe. Needless to say, I am out of an expensive hurricane candle burner that involved a hula hoop.

I really kicked it up a notch at the gym last night. I did my new routine of 5 minutes cardio, 20 minutes weight training followed with 20 minutes of cardio on the bike. Oh my gosh. I was pouring sweat in buckets and when I got to the locker room my face was beet red! I may just reach that goal by my birthday!

I guess it was a good thing that I was not wearing my headphones in the gym. The Kid's Korner called my name over the loud speaker. I get to the kids play area and the girl tells me I have a "little present". Oh great! I took Little E to the bathroom and pulled back his underwear to find them empty. Empty except for skid marks. Needless to say, he either passed some gas (he will knock you down with those) or he told her he went potty. I really don't know.

I have about 30 days until I quit working. I was supposed to be done by June 4th but they have asked me if I could possibly stay until the 11th. I'm getting more relaxed as the days get closer.

My husband is vacuuming, washing and detailing my car on Saturday for Mother's Day! I'm so excited! The kids can really turn the backseat into a dump. Let's hope they help daddy get the job done.

I really need to find the time to squeeze in a pedicure before I head to Pensacola on May 21st. I haven't paid for one in about a year. I usually just do them myself but this is a special occasion. Maybe I shouldn't go? Have you ever spent the money on getting your feet softened and then go swimming in an in ground pool? The cement takes your nail polish off!

I am currently at 99 followers. Who will be my 100th?

If anyone out there can tell me or give me the directions, I'd love to start doing product reviews. Who do I contact? Do I just start reviewing things and companies will contact me? How does this work?

I had a spiritually uplifting conversation this morning with my sister in law. It strengthens me to know that I'm making the right choices. It's a tough world out there.

Friday Fragments:92

Mommy's Idea

Join Mrs. 4444 for Friday Fragments you know all of the little things that don't need a whole post but they are certainly note worthy... Well they have a place!

Little E has found a new favorite book, The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown (the author of the infamous Goodnight Moon) and he has insisted I read it every night. When I get to part where the bunny turns into a little sailboat, E tells me that he's going to drive the sailboat and I get to ride in the back. Wow. Lucky me. Tonight he added that I would get to ride in the back and get buckled in. I love little imaginations.

I waited until the last minute to develop more photos of my sweet Miss K for my scrap booking day on Saturday. You can't ever have enough photos. After uploading 180 photos through Shutterfly and transferred the developing to Target my bill is $34.00!! That's what I get for waiting.

I bought some fabulous throw pillows for my couch. They're so comfortable that the kids want to constantly lay all over them. So comfortable that Little E wanted to take one in the car the other morning on the ride to school.

Feeling horribly about canceling dinner plans with my BIL and putting Miss K in tears, I took both kids to the mall and we went into Build A Bear. Miss K got her second animal, a Jack Russell Terrier and Little E built a bear. He really wasn't that into it. He enjoyed the fluff. I have never done something like that. I hope that I never have to again.

I can't wait until Sunday. I am going shopping at Target to start organizing my computer room. I want to rearrange my crafts, supplies and computer desk. I need to make more room for more craft supplies since I will be staying home now. I love to organize.

Do kids really ever get the concept of time? I told my daughter on the last day of school she could bring her Barbie ballerina. Today she says, "Isn't today the last day of school? " I told her yes, for this week. Which the conversation turned into a 5 minute explanation. I LOVE mornings.
