Writer's Workshop- This Woman's Worth

I am sure I have said this or written this before but I fully
believe that God puts you in places that he wants you
in and with the free will he has given us we choose where to
go from there. We might not recognize it right away
maybe even after we don't pass the test.
So this morning I am click into Mama Kat's and found
a prompt that is exactly what was on my mind.
What is the message that God is conveying to me?

The Prompt I chose or was led to today was

2.) You’re not always right…no you’re not…no you’re not…no you’re not….tell us about a time you were wrong.

I am not always right, even if I swear and be damned that I think I am right, I still could be wrong. Number one thing is, I don't like to be wrong. It's one of my downfalls and I'll admit it but usually after it's too late. I'm not perfect and I know that, because NO ONE is perfect. We all strive to be like Jesus, our Christ and Saviour but we fall short. We are sinners.

I was wrong yesterday in posting my PYHO. I probably should have waited to post such a post for a later date once I had cleared my thoughts and feelings. I chalk this up as another learning experience because I have no choice but to reflect on where I stand now. The Lord has given me this time to think and pray about what actions I took in the heat of the moment. I should know better than to react when my emotions are raw. My emotions get in the way of my brain and I don't think clearly.

I'm not going to solely blame this on my chemical problems and having to depend on medicine to control my anger, stress and emotions but it's partly to blame. I'm lapsing and the meds aren't working like they should. I find myself getting irritated again and getting upset over stupid crap.

But honestly, I was hurt and sad about the situation with my friend and I can't apologize for being upset. But I should have left it at that and confronted the situation differently. I handled the problem callously and I was wrong. I forget that not everyone is like me. I told my husband that I blame my way of dealing with situations is more like a man than a woman sometimes, one of my downfalls to growing up a tomboy who had more guy friends than girls. I'm still learning how to be a woman's friend without causing strife.

Men get mad, make accusations and argue, then they're done. They make up and the fight is done. Women do not. They argue, it festers, they get hurt, they hold grudges and when it's all said and done it's too late. Me, I'm like a combination. I get all upset, I hash it out and then I want to make up and it be all better.

I don't like being wrong but I can't always be right.

I was all set to post my five things this week that have made

I am sad to see it go and she has given her blessing to anyone

I laughed so hard when Little E opened his birthday gift from my
BIL who came without his wife and grabbed the wrong gift bag and it was
body soap, lotion and a foot pumice
I couldn't stop giggling

I am happy to report that I got my housecleaning and laundry
started yesterday amidst the heavy load of things I have on
my plate this week

I am joyful that I have not gained a pound after
consuming cake 3 days in a row

I am ecstatic that my birthday is less than a month away
even though I will be a year older. I am excited because
it falls on a Friday this year!

I spent the afternoon on Wednesday hanging in the kiddie
pool at my house with Little E and Miss Kay, what
couldn't be more jubilant than that?

Oh Thursday!

This has been a fulfilling one this week. I have done like
4 posts..So unlike me.

1. I took the kids to the mall on Monday and went to buy Miss K some new earrings that weren't hoops. I saw the earrings that I broke of mine in the display case but they were more than I wanted to spend. The saleslady gave me $25 off them! I was super stoked to get a great deal!

2. I was happy to enjoy a bargain movie with the kids at the theater Wednesday morning, even though they had already seen it on DVD. But quality time is worth even seeing a DVD movie on the big screen.

3. I was delighted to run into the Schwan's man on mny way home the other night. I agree that a lot of their product is over priced but I buy items that I cannot find in any local store. We indulged in some of the premade stuffed shells that I bought. Wow! They were worth the money so I don't have to boil, stuff and bake them myself.

4. I got my first Booksneeze book, Sarah's Garden, in the mail the other day. I have already started reading it and I'm 33 pages in. It's awesome!

5. I'm taking the kids to see Toy Story 3 with the hubby and some friends of ours. I've been warned that I'm going to cry, but looking forward to another great movie with popcorn and the kids.

Thursday 5-My Loves

It's Thursday. I'm breathing a big sigh of relief because there is only one

more day left to this week for me. I am off this Saturday!

What makes it even better is that it's Thursday Five..Where we get to look back on our week and and come up with 5 things that have made us..

1. I was overly happy when giving Little E a bath the other night. He asked me to sit down and play with him and his foam bath letters. He knew about half of the letters and numbers by sight! I was so happy for my little guy who was a late talker compared to his sister.
2. There are only 4 days left of school for Miss K and they have it pretty low key for those last days. I will be volunteering, donating and participating with a pizza party on Monday and she can't wait for me to be there. I'm looking forward to it!

3. I think I more excited and nervous than Miss K about her recital this Saturday evening. I asked her if she was nervous and she nonchalantly answered me, "no mom". Really?!

4. I am jubilant that I finally made it through the mountain of laundry that I had been tackling since I left the weekend before for a my mini-vaca. But, there is a growing pile in the laundry basket again. It never ends.

5. I am thankful to have wonderful friends. My IRL friends and I have been so busy and haven't had time together. But a quick phone call or a instant message brought a smile to my face this week.

Thursday 5-Sunshine and Rainbows

It's already Thursday. Boy has this week really flown by. It's been one of those great weeks even after coming home from being out of town. It's time to link up with Keely at Mannland5 for my Thursday 5. The five things that made me feel:

1. When Miss K has a bad day at school I ask her what happened and she refuses to tell me. This week she finally stopped clamming up and told me what she did wrong. For the time being I will bask in the sunshine knowing that my daughter opened up to me.

2. This weekend for Memorial Day my family, my parents, my oldest brother and his family are renting a boat and floating down the river. We've planned a full day of BBQ'ing, swimming, fishing and enjoying the day!

3. Last weekend my husband worked a side job for his boss and earned some extra money. He was planning to use it to buy me a new camera but now we are buying Little E a new big boy bed! I am so grateful to have a hardworking husband!

4. I got my hair cut and highlighted last night for the summer!

5. The image I picked from iStock photo was edited by my friend and has been sent on to The Frilly Coconut who is redesigning my layout and blog page! One step closer.

Just plain ol' happy this week!

1. I discovered that my friend who is a graphic designer, owns Adobe Illustrator and has an iStock photo account. She purchased the image for my blog redesign and is editing it for me.

2. I will be weighing myself at the gym tonight, which is not always something to be giddy about but I have been losing weight. I can't wait to see how much.

3. I will be packing luggage for me, Miss K and Little E for our trip this weekend. We leave tomorrow afternoon about 3 pm.



4. My husband got me the Corel Paintshop Photo editing program for Mother's Day. I finally found some time last night to edit some photos of mine. I really like it!
5. I bought 2 shirts at Kohl's on Monday for $6.81. One was on clearance for $6.00 the other was $11.99. I used my $10.00 Kohl's cash and for using my store credit card I received an additional 20% off. I scored!

this week?

1. Yesterday my nephew T.J. and my niece Kenzie celebrated milestone birthdays. T.J. turned one and Kenzie turned five.

2. One of my close friends has Adobe Illustrator and she is going to edit some images for me for the blog. I can't wait to see the finished product!

3. Miss K is going to her Dress Rehearsal on Saturday and I can't wait to watch her perform the entire performance in full costume.

4. I went bargain shopping yesterday and scored big! I saved probably $50-60 dollars on groceries.

5. Little E spent the day with me yesterday and I took him on a train ride in the mall. He really enjoyed it. This train actually goes around the lower floor of the mall.

1. I start working out at the new gym I just joined and they have a kids area! So now I won't have to leave the gym in such a hurry because my b

abies will be right there!

2. I get to see two of my IRL best girlfriends tomorrow at our daughter's dance class. My two friends and I are 94 graduates of the same high school and our daughters attend the same dance studio and have a class together. Here they are on picture day.

3. My daughter is being considered for the gifted program at her elementary school!! They will be evaluating her and having the test done.

4. We took Little E and Miss K to Texas Roadhouse last night (again) this time we went on Family Fun Night and they saw Andy the Armadillo. He was absent the last time.

5. I am taking the day, 10 hours to go scrapbooking on Saturday!!!!
