Tuesday Three: Labor 3

I can't believe it's Tuesday already
I had an amazing, fun weekend with
family and friends and Labor Day Monday
felt like Sunday. You know what I mean?
I'm linking up with Miss JLA at Stiletto's & a Fishing Pole
for

This weeks Tuesday Three,
share THREE things you did over the weekend that you really enjoyed!

3. My husband's step sister and her husband invited us to go out on their boat in the ocean. We went to this island off the inter coastal inlet to the ocean called Disappearing Island. You can only access it from a boat and when high tide comes in the island disappears. The water was so cool and the sun was just perfect without a cloud in the sky. We took the kids and they played with their cousins and their friends. It was a fun six hours in the sun.
2. We took a road trip to the West Coast of Florida to celebrate my Aunt's 50th Birthday. My cousin's invited us to a surprise birthday party at my aunt's house. It was a 2.5 hour drive but it was so nice to sit in the passenger seat and enjoy the scenery along the way. I have never been to my aunt's house and it was a pleasant drive through rolling hills (yes, Florida does have hills) and country side, old town shoppes and small towns with one traffic light. We had a great time hanging out with my cousins and seeing my second cousins. They grow so fast!!

1. We took the kids to eat dinner at Chili's Bar and Grill Friday night. For the first time we waited about 5 minutes to be seated and as requested we sat in our friend Brett's section. We try to have him be our server and show patronage to a good friend. The kids were so well behaved and waited patiently for their dinners. We enjoyed some yummy salsa and chips and laughed while Little E kept dipping his chips in the salsa and then fed them to me. I tried a new meal for the first time in years!! I ALWAYS got the Chicken Crispers but I was going to change it up so I got Quesadilla Chicken Corn Salad. Oh my goodness! It was amazing! I highly recommend it.

Tuesday Three

It's Tuesday again and I'm playing along with my new friend
Miss JLA at Stilettos & a Fishing Pole.
Now if you haven't met her you should go over there
and check her out! She is
funny, quirky and down to earth.
This is her third week at her Tuesday Three and
she needs our support for her meme
Go show her some love and link up
Will ya?

This weeks topic for 3 Things is and I quote this
from her blog.
" Every woman, okay maybe not every woman, but 99.999% of women are "Anul"
[as me and my mother call it] about certain things happening around the house. Maybe it's Laundry piled up, or Towels on the floor, or maybe it's The Toliet Paper goes upwards, not Down-wards like my mother says...
Share three things that maybe your kids, your better half, or maybe you do it that drives you BONKERS!!!!
In other words, share your top three pet peeves around the house!"

1. Toothpaste in the sink after brushing teeth. I think that it's
so gross to have remnants of toothpaste that has been
spit out of my kid's mouths or even my husband's in the sink.
Thankfully they are pretty good about it and clean it.

2. The rugs having dirt, hair or whatever on them. I have this
solid colored rug in the kitchen that must attract
everything in the sun on it.
I swear I must shake that thing everyday! Sometimes
I just drag out the vacuum to clean it.

3. Toys. I hate toys everywhere!!
Keep your toys in your room where they belong. The house
is NOT your playground. If you do take
out toys into the family room, when you're done put them away.
I know that I didn't play with them so I should have to
pick them up.
Although 80% of the time mommy is the picker upper.
A Little help please?!

Tuesday Three: with me!

Stepping back into my blogging today I
have decided to link up with Miss JLA at
Stilettos & a fishing pole with her new blog meme
the second week running. If you haven't met her yet, what
are you waiting for? Get over there...Tell her I sent ya.

this week's three she has asked what 3 things would
she and I do if she came to my hometown.

well. my hometown has nothing to offer and the
city I live in now has nothing either. Unless we're hungry, need
gas or want to go shopping 24 hours at Walmart.
So I'm going to go to some favorite places of mine in my area.

1. Wekiva Falls
I just recently discovered this place and it is an awesome, refreshing
spring fed water hole.
Since it's not a State Park alcoholic beverages and not banned
and there's nothing better than 72 degree water when it's 98 degrees out
and you have a cold one in your hand. Ahhh.
better yet, there are loads of picnic tables to eat, bbq and enjoy the
entire day.

2. New Smyrna Beach
Most tourists want to head to Daytona Beach but as a born and bred
Floridian we know to stay away from there!
New Smyrna is a beautiful family beach with white sand, plenty of vendors
Atv's to rent, large areas to sent up the canopy, pull out the coolers and
enjoy the beach. And you can still drive or park off beach and walk
on if you prefer.

3. Four wheeling on ATV's
We may not have 1000's of acres to ride but here in the
woods of Volusia County we know where to find mud holes, creeks and
trails to get dusty, dirty and muddy!
We'll grab a cooler loaded with ice, beer and anything else to drink and
spend the day playing on the four wheelers for the day.

Where would you go?
Head over to Miss JLA's blog, write your three
and link up!!
