Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday a blog carnival created by McKMama. You can head over to her blog and read what she and everyone else has not been doing this week after you read mine.

I did not halfway clean house last Monday and then take a nap before going to pick up the kids from school. Nope, Not Me! I would never cut corners to get some "me" time.

I did not plan out a menu for the week and then only follow one day after forgetting to set out or prepare each meal. No way, not me! I am more organized and dependable than that.

I did not lose my mind at the supermarket after finding out they did not have the one item I made the trip for with both kids. I did not want to burst into tears by the meat cases because I was so overwhelmed and only wanted that one meat item. No way! Not Me! I did not call my husband who was at work and hope he would give me some sanity and shake me from my mood. Nope, not me! I am more together than that.

I did not let my son eat yogurt and garlic bread for dinner on Saturday night because he refused his chicken nuggets and noodles. Not me! I make sure my kids eat a balanced meal everytime.!
I did not get suckered into making oatmeal for said child's dinner on Sunday for him to throw a tantrum for chicken nuggets and noodles. I would never let my child convince me to make what he wanted, nope.

I did not windex my sliding glass doors two times last night and my kids did not get their greasy hands all over it again before bedtime. I did not get so upset about it that I did not tell my husband that it was his turn to clean it for the third time. Nope, not me!

Getting to Know YOU

This is my first time participating in this blog carnival. It's all about getting to know you, which in this case is me...

Wanna play?..copy the questions..answer them on your blog..come back here and link on up!

The questions..

1. Mens chests..hairy or hairless?
oh hairless by all means, a few stray ones are fine but no more than that. I do not do hairy chests or backs. ewwww.

2. How often do you run red lights? hardly ever, if it does happen it's because I miscalculated the yellow light time.

3. If you could raid any celebrity's closet..whose would you raid? Nicole Ritchie or Tori Spelling or Faith Hill. Their styles seem comfy yet chic. Not that my hips and butt would fir their clothes but what's that matter.

4. Would you rather have more followers/friends on Facebook, Twitter, or your Blog?
My Blog, of course.

5. What makes you feel sexy? when I feel good after a workout, after I get my hair cut and colored and my husband says it looks good, when I'm wearing a nice pair of jeans that hug my curves in all the right places

6. I get excited when...........? when I buy new shoes or a new purse, when we take a vacation, when I save a "boatload" of money on bargains, when my son goes #2 on the toilet (we're PT)

7. Are you the "outdoorsy" type or more "indoorsy"? oh indoorsy by all means. I told my roughing it, camping outside husband that we need a camper before I go camping in the woods again. I need a toilet, running water, A/C and a fridge. Why leave home?! HA!

8. Would you rather have your dream home or a million dollars? The money of course! I can buy a great house with less than half and invest the rest and double my money!

Five Question Friday:04/16

1. What words do you use on your blog/online that you don't use in real life?

Snarky.. I did use it once in real life, but it sounded stupid. So I will not be using it again.
Yup. It's not a good version of yes.
Holy Canolis. I tweet this more.

2. Do you still write checks?

Why yes I do. I write them to daycare, my hair stylist, to pay a few bills and sending money in the mail.

3. Who was your favorite President and why?
Clinton. I really liked him, even with the Monica Lewinsky scandal and his pot smoking admission. hehe. He seemed real and genuine to me. I want a president who is like the people. I want some one representing this country who is like you and me.

4. Are you a yeller?

Ummm. guilty. Sadly, very guilty. It's one of those personality traits that you pick up from your parents doing the same to you.
I'm working on it.

5. Have you ever dumpster dived?

Uhh. Does trash picking by the curb count?

Friday: Full of Life

Wow! I am so glad that it's Friday. It's not the weekend yet for me, because I work Saturdays. I'm still glad though because on Saturday's it's daddy's turn to get the kids up, dressed and fed breakfast. It's kinda like a break, a morning break for me.

I'm looking forward to this weekend though. The weather has been amazing for Spring weather in Florida. The afternoons are great for the kids to get outside and play and me to get outside and work on the lawn and garden. This past long, cold winter destroyed a lot of my grass and this Sunday after church the hubs and I will be digging and replanting seed.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too.

Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

My question is:

If you had the opportunity to go back and pick a different career or life path what would you do?

And I'm also joining in again with Friday Follow!

Thankful Thursday: Little E

Colossians 2:7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

This Thursday I am participating in a new meme, Thankful Thursday with The Outdoor Wife. I found her through a new blog I recently stated following, the Layton Family Joy. I say this and truly believe that God leads me to the blogs I find.
Even amongst the heartache in this world I can always find things to be thankful for. For my God is a loving God and he knows my heart.
The Outdoor Wife

I am ever so thankful for my son, Little E. After quickly becoming pregnant with him only after two months of trying I was scared, elated and joyful. Scared, because my family would be going from one to two children. This was a life changing event. I was elated and joyful because we were going from a family of three to a family of four! Then the bleeding started. I knew in my mind that something was wrong. But my OB doctor found nothing wrong after many tests and ultrasounds. I was still convinced that I was miscarrying and my doctor didn't have any answers for me. I was a crying, stressed out mess and went looking for another doctor. I needed answers , I couldn't go on without knowing. I found this amazing OB/GYN practice that employed the best midwife you could ask for. After my first appointment, listening to the heartbeat and another round of ultrasounds she reassured me that my baby was okay. Apparently the bleeding I was having was old blood from the uterus closing up. (The blood was dark which is a sign of old blood.) It was nothing to worry about. From that moment I was thankful that I continued on and didn't give up. I had to have faith that God was going to take care of me and the baby. On July 14, 2007 my son was born. A healthy, 9lb 6oz baby boy. With God all things are possible.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Top 3 Thursday-Heartthrobs

It's a great Thursday! I would like to tell you the reason I am smiling..but until I know more about blogging and disclaimers I will wait. Now for some TOP 3 THURSDAY hosted by Confessions From a Working Mom and the (Un)Experienced Mom!

It's easy, cheesy...as my daughter says.....

Today's Question is...

Who are your Top 3 "guilty" celebrity crushes?
3. Patrick Dempsey. Rawr! I have swooned over him since I saw him in the movie Can't Buy Me Love, long before Grey's Anatomy and his rise to being "McDreamy". I have literally seen that movie over a hundred times. So many times that the VHS tape that it was recorded on probably doesn't even play anymore. I loved him in the movie Made of Honor and continue to enjoy watching him every Thursday on Grey's.

2. Ben Affleck. There's something about his baby face and that crooked smile when he laughs. Ahhh. I love, love, loved him in the movie Armageddon. Actually I bawled my eyes out when I thought they were going to let him die! I love how he plays heroines in the movies he picks, like in Armageddon, Pearl Harbor and Changing Lanes. There is just something about his stand up leading roles and masculinity that transfixes me to the screen.

1. Ryan Reynolds. This is my newest heartthrob. *blushing* I saw him on the movie Definitely, Maybe and I thought he was so hot! Then when I saw the previews for the movie The Proposal starring Ryan with Sandra Bullock I had to see that movie! He is dreamy. checking out his bio it says that he is married to Scarlett Johannson, something I never knew. Lucky her!
