Monday Minute: Just me

1.What's your favorite time of day? The evening. It's quiet in the house, the little ones are sleeping in their beds and it's time to enjoy company with my hubby. We sometimes watch some television if there's a program on that we both watch or I'm catching up on emails, reading blogs or reading a book. If I'm busy with that then hubs is either hanging with his best friend, playing his computer games or "jammin" in his car. ( he loves his mid life crisis sports car)
2.Do you and your significant other send sexy texts? hmmm.maybe. maybe not. I never kiss and tell.
3.
If you got a dream job anywhere in the US and you had to move, where would you choose to move to? I would move to Colorado! I'm sure my cousin is reading this and saying "yes, yes!!". My husband LOVED, absolutely LOVED Colorado when we went to visit this past December and the kids have already asked when are we going back. I hope to go again in the next few years and continue to do so as a regular vacation spot every 3-4 years. Yes, my cousin QB if it makes you happy I could always stay at a hotel next time.
4.What are you wearing? I am wearing one of my favorite pairs of Levi's jeans, and a cute button down dark blue shirt that my hubby picked for me and white socks.
5.If given a choice to skip work for a day, how would you spend the entire day? Well skipping work would mean that I am not spending my day with Little E and running Miss K all over creation. So I would start the day with a mani, pedi and eye brow wax. (well I don't get mine waxed, I get mine done by plucking with strings..forgot what that is called) Then I would go shopping with a friend at the mall, followed by a "grown up" lunch at Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. Then I would go shoe shopping because shoe shopping is no fun with kids in tow. Then I would hit Border's book store to browse the latest books and pick up a coffee while I'm there and enjoy the peace and quiet of a good book. My day off would be ending soon and it will be time to head home to cook dinner, because I know the hubs will be waiting for me to relieve him of the parenting duties.

I need a Bigger Battery
1. I’ve come to realize that my chest-size…can resemble post baby curves and voluptuous look again.
2. I’ve come to realize that my job….is endearing, rewarding, life changing and more words than I describe in one paragraph.
3. I’ve come to realize that when I’m driving…that idiot drivers seem to always get in my way.
4. I’ve come to realize that I need…quiet time to myself for reflection.
5. I’ve come to realize that I have lost…my short term memory.
6. I’ve come to realize that I hate.... hypocrites.
7. I’ve come to realize that if I’m drunk…I'm going to have a headache the next morning and I'll still have to get up with the kids at 6:30am.
8. I’ve come to realize that money….is not the secret to success.
9. I’ve come to realize that certain people…will never change and you can do nothing about it but watch them self destruct.
10. I’ve come to realize that I’ll always…love my children no matter what mistakes they make or if they break my heart along the way.
11. I’ve come to realize that my sibling(s)…must be accepted for who they are.
12. I’ve come to realize that my mom…will never understand me.

17. I’ve come to realize that my dad…is a good man deep down and my mother has suppressed his great side.
18. I’ve come to realize that when I get on Facebook…that it needs to be quick and painless and get out again.
19. I’ve come to realize that today…that I will never, ever, ever sign up to do Vacation Bible School with my mother again. Mark my words.
20. I’ve come to realize that my best friend(s)…are the backbones of my daily living.
21. I’ve come to realize that my spouse…is my rock.
22. I’ve come to realize that I really want to…finish reading the Twilight series because I've had all 4 books for about a year now.
23. I’ve come to realize that life…is what you make of it.
24. I’ve come to realize that this weekend…is going to be busy, but I will not stress out. I want to enjoy it and go with the flow.
25. I’ve come to realize that next weekend…I will be chilling out and not running around crazy anywhere!
26.I’ve come to realize that my children…have their own dreams in life, and it is not my right to try to choose their way.
27. I’ve come to realize that when life gives you lemons….make sweet tea and squeeze the lemons in! Take it easy, sit back and relax!

Texas Style!

Sorry this photo is hard to make out the hubs took this with his Iphone and ruined the quality
Last night we took Little E out to dinner for
his Birthday.
We took him to Texas Roadhouse our local steak place
The kids enjoy eating their yeast rolls and actually
eat the food from the kids menu.
The best part when it's your birthday, the servers come clapping
and singing to ya and you get to climb up on a real western saddle and
yell YEA HAW!!!
Miss K told our friendly waiter that it was Little E's Birthday.
Within minutes they came clapping and singing to our table.
Being the shy boy he is lately, Little E covered his face
as he rode the saddle.
It was a great evening!

Thursday 5-Sunshine and Rainbows
It's already Thursday. Boy has this week really flown by. It's been one of those great weeks even after coming home from being out of town. It's time to link up with Keely at Mannland5 for my Thursday 5. The five things that made me feel:Joyful
Excited
Jubilant
Grateful
1. When Miss K has a bad day at school I ask her what happened and she refuses to tell me. This week she finally stopped clamming up and told me what she did wrong. For the time being I will bask in the sunshine knowing that my daughter opened up to me.
2. This weekend for Memorial Day my family, my parents, my oldest brother and his family are renting a boat and floating down the river. We've planned a full day of BBQ'ing, swimming, fishing and enjoying the day!
3. Last weekend my husband worked a side job for his boss and earned some extra money. He was planning to use it to buy me a new camera but now we are buying Little E a new big boy bed! I am so grateful to have a hardworking husband!
4. I got my hair cut and highlighted last night for the summer!
5. The image I picked from iStock photo was edited by my friend and has been sent on to The Frilly Coconut who is redesigning my layout and blog page! One step closer.

Five Question Friday: 05/14
I am not working this weekend and it's liberating.
Really...
I will busy like a bee though...
so it's not like I'll be relaxing by the pool
sipping sweet tea.
So to begin the start of a great Friday I'm linking up to 5 Question Friday!
And I'm early....

1. Take your pick...date night, girls night out, or night out alone?
I would have to say Girl's Night Out. I haven't had one of those in a year. It's about time I called up the ladies and organized another since no one has done it yet. thanks for the idea..
2. Can you touch your nose with your tongue? nope.... and yes I did try about three times and now my tongue hurts.
3. What is your favorite flower and why? Lilies. Tiger lilies to be exact. I would love to have a garden of lilies. I really like any kind of lily because there is such a variety of colors and sizes you don't have to choose just one.
4. If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself?
Don't be so bossy and controlling. It only took me 10 years and many friends later to figure it out. Not to mention several boyfriends.
5. If you won the lottery, what is the very first thing you would do?
I would get on the phone with my financial adviser and my lawyer.

Thursday 5- Toot your horn!

Hey there friends!! It's Thursday and I'm linking up with Mannland5
for her Thursday 5!
What has made you
2. One of my close friends has Adobe Illustrator and she is going to edit some images for me for the blog. I can't wait to see the finished product!
3. Miss K is going to her Dress Rehearsal on Saturday and I can't wait to watch her perform the entire performance in full costume.
4. I went bargain shopping yesterday and scored big! I saved probably $50-60 dollars on groceries.
5. Little E spent the day with me yesterday and I took him on a train ride in the mall. He really enjoyed it. This train actually goes around the lower floor of the mall.

A Social Parade

This is my first time participating in this party so let me introduce myself for those of you who are new readers or followers! If you are stopping by from Smart and Trendy Moms
(or for the first time from anywhere else), welcome!
To my current followers, thanks for stopping by today!
I am a full time working mom of two children
Miss K and Little E who are the light of my life
and inspiration I pull from for most of my blogging.
I have been blogging about trying to find the
balance between working full time and being
a full time mom and everything else in between.
Recently my family has been blessed
with the financial ability to allow me to
quit working and be a SAHM.
I am excited, nervous and ready to begin
this new adventure in my life. Along with the
blessing and help of God this path could
not have been possible. Follow me in my
new blogging journey as I find the new balance in the blogosphere.

Friday: Celebrating Friends
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
My question is: If you found out that your best friend; or a very close one to you if you don't have a best friend, was talking badly about you to others, what would you do?
I am not a person who likes confrontation so I don't think I would approach this friend like that. Because a friend doesn't talk trash about another friend to others you both know. I speak from experience, I would distance myself from this person and when and if they notice, I'll talk to them in private about it. If they deny it, then that person is no friend of mine. We should build each other up, not tear each other down.
Followed by some Friday Follow.......Follow me, I'll follow you! It's that simple.
